Taylor Swift thanks fans for ‘unforgettable’ concerts as she wraps the 2023 Eras Tour dates: ‘I’m so grateful’
Taylor Swift penned an emotional Instagram message to fans thanking them for their devotion as she celebrated the end of the 2023 Eras Tour.
Swift kicked off her sixth headlining tour in March with a North American leg that saw her perform 53 concerts in 18 states before heading south of the border for sold-out shows in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.
It wrapped over the weekend with back-to-back shows in São Paulo after tragedy struck the week prior when a 23-year-old fan ᴅɪᴇd at the first of her three concerts in Rio de Janeiro amid a massive heatwave.
Swift will spend most of 2024 performing overseas before concluding the tour with newly-added dates in the United States in November.
‘Bringing a tour to Brazil has been something I’ve dreamt of for years, and those fans blew my expectations away,’ the Anti-Hero singer began in a post shared Tuesday.
‘We’ve officially wrapped up the 2023 Eras Tour and we got to end the year with 6 shows in Rio and São Paulo, with the most magical crowds.’

She went on to express gratitude to her team for their hard work as well as excitement for what’s to come.
‘I’m so grateful to my touring family, my band, crew and dancers for everything they put into this show all year. To the people who came to see it, you are what made those stadiums feel so alive and electric and unforgettable for me.
‘Really just feeling so proud and moved by what I got to be a part of. See you in 2024,’ the Love Story hitmaker concluded.
She shared a slideshow of some of her favorite photos taken during the tour, many of which showcased her incredible costumes and elaborate sets.
At her final show in Brazil on Sunday, Swift met with the family of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, the fan who tragically ᴅɪᴇd of cardiac arrest before she took to the stage on Friday, November 17 at Estádio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro.
It was reported by a local outlet that Ana fainted while in the front row for Swift’s show and was ‘resuscitated at the stadium for about 40 minutes’ before suffering a second cardiac arrest while on the way to a hospital.
Ana ᴅɪᴇd shortly after arriving at a local hospital, with the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo reporting the heat index at the stadium ‘reached 60C’ – 140F – and firefighters reportedly ‘counted a thousand faintings during the event.’
Swift learned of her shocking ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ after her performance and published a statement to social media expressing her heartbreak.
She went on to cancel her concert in Rio the following day due to the heat but resumed her Eras Tour in the city last Sunday, where fans were brought to tears as she paid tribute to Ana by performing her balled Bigger Than the Whole Sky.

The Eras Tour serves as retrospective of Swift’s career that spans nearly 20 years and 10 studio albums.
Each concert boasts a three-hour runtime that sees Swift perform a whopping 44 songs.
She announced she would be going on tour for the first time in four years last June ahead of the release of her tenth studio album Midnights (2022).
But a now infamous Ticketmaster debacle left many ‘Swifties’ without tickets and, instead, saw them snapped up by resellers.
The site had crashed and fans found themselves booted from the virtual queues.
Swift spoke out amid the chaos, telling her devout fanbase that she was just as ‘pissed off’ as everyone else is.
At face value, the ticket prices ranged between $49 to $499.
But on resale sites like StubHub and SeatGeek, they were going for thousands of dollars.
SeatGeek told U.S. News in August that the average price of an Eras Tour resale ticket was $1,619.
The tour is predicted to net the star a staggering $4.1 billion — the most an artist has ever made from a single tour in history — according to the Washington Post.
Swift’s share of the revenue is estimated to be the industry-standard of 85 percent.

For those who missed out on tickets, Swift released a film version of the Eras Tour in theaters in October.
Earlier this month, CNBC reported that the Eras Tour concert film has raked in $150 million domestically and more than $200 million globally
With two months of downtime before she’s set to jet off to Japan, Swift will now have plenty of time to spend with her new boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34.
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end kicked off their romance in late September — months after his failed attempt at giving her his phone number at her Eras Tour concert in Missouri.
She’s since attended a handful of his football games, often cheering him on alongside his mother Donna.
Kelce flew to Argentina earlier this month to watch Swift perform in Argentina with her father Scott Swift, who he met for the first time on that trip.
DailyMail.com revealed earlier this week that Swift will be moving into Kelce’s new $6million mansion in Missouri as she takes a break from touring.
Her jet touched down in Kansas City late on Monday morning after making a short pitstop for fuel in Tampa, Florida, and the star headed straight for her love’s new luxury pad.
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Kelce spoke about their unlikely romance and gushed over Swift’s ‘genius.’

With two months off before heading to Japan, Swift will now have plenty of time to spend with her new boyfriend, 34-year-old Travis Kelce (pictured in October).
Additionally, he noticed that her point of view is ‘right up my alley.’
“Everyone is aware that I’m a devoted family man,” he told the newspaper. Her team is her family. She appeals to me because I think we share many values because her family is very involved in the tour, marketing, and being present.
Kelce claims he has “never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them,” a reference to Swift’s celebrity status, but he is “not running away from any of it.”
He knows the singer of Mean is always followed by photographers and that she wears a “magnifying glass on.” Still, she chooses to “just live, enjoy life” despite it.
In the beginning, Kelce claimed that he “didn’t want to say anything that would push Taylor away” when it came to their relationship.
