Setting the Record Straight: Rihanna Refutes ‘Bogus’ Reports of a World Tour

Rihanna fans may need to put a stop to their celebrations of the millionaire businesswoman’s potential world tour, as prior claims that one was in the works have now been debunked.

According to Billboard, a “high-level source” dismissed rumors of an imminent tour, calling them “bogus,” and stating that “no tour has been confirmed for Rihanna.”

On Sunday (October 22), it was announced that the Grammy Award-winning performer has new content ready for her devoted fans, as well as a tour planned for 2024 and 2025.

According to the Daily Mirror, the mother of two just signed a deal with Live Nation worth a reputed £32 million [nearly $38.9 million] – none of which appear to be real.

Despite the fact that the Bajan beauty and former Super Bowl host hasn’t released a new album since 2016’s ANTI, she continues to break records. Rihanna became the first female artist to have ten songs achieve a billion streams on Spotify in June.

RiRi celebrated on Instagram in response. “Bad Gal Billi…”w/o a new album…”Let me talk about my shit,” she wrote.

Nicki Minaj, a longtime fan and friend of the artist, jumped in with some of her own bars in the comments area.

The Queens rapper followed up with “Okay bars” and the hashtag “babydaddytellmeIGOTprettyeyes.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna’s name has just been dragged into YNW Melly’s double murder trial, with the Florida rapper and his co-defendant YNW Bortlen accused of using the Fenty mogul’s name in their claimed witness tampering tactics.

Prosecutors claimed Melly and Bortlen used Rihanna’s name as part of a secret jail code to prevent specific witnesses from collaborating with police and testifying against them, according to TMZ.

YNW Melly (born Jamell Demons), who was denied phone privileges while in prison, allegedly used another inmate’s phone time to send messages to the outside world, including Bortlen, who was out on bond before it was revoked when he and Melly were charged with witness tampering.

According to officials, the couple discussed “Rihanna” and “A$AP Rocky’s baby mama” staying behind in a “Maybach,” which is thought to be code for Melly’s ex-girlfriend, Mariah Hamilton, and her mother, Felicia Holmes, not testifying in the case.

The “Murder On My Mind” rapper has also been accused of sending messages via handwritten notes, “coordinating their delivery to various cell blocks through nonspeaking cues.”
