JADA Pinkett Smith has disclosed that she and her husband Will have been secretly split for the past seven years.

The 52-year-old actress acknowledged that they have been attempting to “figure out” what their marriage’s future holds.

On New Year’s Eve 1997, Jada and Will, both 55, tied the knot in Baltimore while she was expecting their now 25-year-old son, Jaden.

She said to People, looking back on their relationship: “We’re still figuring it out.” Together, we have been working on some incredibly challenging projects.

“We just fell deeply in love, and we’re going to work out what that means for us.”

The Red Table Talk celebrity stated of their offspring, “My children, they’re little gurus.” I now have a strong sense of self-acceptance thanks to them.

Jaden and Will have a son named Trey, 30, from a previous marriage, and Will and Jada have a daughter named Willow, 22.

Later this morning, Jada will talk about their connection in greater depth during a sit-down interview with Hota Kotb on NBC News.

Hoda questioned Jada about a 2016 marital incident in a sneak peek video.

The Today presenter gestured away from the group and stated, “From the year 2016, which is seven years ago now, y’all have been…”

“Yes,” Jada answered, separating her hands.

The separate disclosure follows Will and Jada’s 2020 admission that she had an affair with 25-year-old musician August Alsina.

When she and Will discreetly split up in 2015, this is what transpired.

“Four-and-a-half years ago [I] started a friendship with August and we became really, really good friends and it all started with him just needing some help, me wanting to help his health and mental state,” Jada remarked during their joint appearance on Red Table Talk.

She continued, addressing Will directly: “Our family’s first concern was for his health, which is why we were so supportive of him.

“We found all those different resources to help pull him through and, from there, you and I were going through a very difficult time.”

After Will said, “I was done with your a**, marriages have that though,” Jada responded, “We broke up.”

Will pushed her on, saying, “And then what did you do, Jada?”

She responded, “As time went on I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.”

THE ENTANGLEMENT

Will inquired about her meaning of “entanglement,” to which his wife replied, “It was a relationship, absolutely.”

She continued by describing her time with August as a “personal journey” and adding that it was “all love,” even though she “didn’t like how this came to be.”

“I wanted to feel good,” she said in response to Will’s question about what she had been hoping to get out of her affair with August. I hadn’t felt well in quite a long time.”

The realization that “you can’t find happiness outside of yourself” was helpful, she continued.

Following her breakup with August, Will and Jada resumed their romantic relationship.

Because the incident happened “so long ago” and they have “experiences of working through it, fighting through it, talking through it,” the couple said they can “laugh” about it.

With a high five and a fist bump, they called it a night, and Jada gave Will props for “finding the deep capacity to love me.”

Jada revealed in her People interview that Will had slapped comedian Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars.

The Fresh Prince actor hit Chris when he joked about Jada’s baldness, an alopecia.

At the awards ceremony, Jada, who was seated behind Will, remarked, “I thought, ‘This is a skit.'”

“I thought, ‘Will never be able to hit him.'” I didn’t even know it wasn’t a skit until Will began to make his way back to his chair.”
